January 2020 – Abstract of data to determine the performance of a previously validated, clinically available, proteomic preterm birth (PTB) predictor in an independent cohort distinct from the tone in which it was developed, that will be presented at the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine’s 2020 Annual Meeting. The abstract concludes that the performance of the clinically available preterm predictor IBP4/SHBG was replicated in a second independent large prospective U.S. study and that the IBP4/SHBG predictor can be used to risk-stratify patients for implementation of PTB preventive strategies and direct patients to appropriate levels of care.
